The XF6LB starts with select AAA book-matched flat flame maple top and a headstock cap finish that is truly stunning and foresees this to be a highly collectible instrument for the ages. The body and neck are hand-selected pieces from aged stocks of African mahogany and the fretboard is cut from the modern material Richlite, which feels great and is incredibly stable compared to traditional woods. It is enhanced with stainless steel super jumbo frets, Luminlay fret markers, Solar 12th fret logo inlay. An Evertune Bridge, Solar 18:1 Locking tuners and GraphTech Tusq nut provide prefection in tuning stability. The custom wound SA56BEU and SA56NEU Solar Modern humbuckers were painstakingly voiced to perfection by Ola and the Solar product team. With a more modern and aggressive take on the classic Solar Alnico V, our energy was focused to ensure these new European made pickups would be the most perfectly matched set for these new instruments. Each pickup is installed directly into the wood with brass countersinks to create a harmonious tonal marriage between body resonance and electrical output. Switchcraft toggle switch, CTS potentiometers and PureTone output jack complete the electronics package. Each guitar ships in a custom MCX flight-ready molded case with certificate of authenticity personally signed by Ola Englund.
