Formed in 2007, Midnight Odyssey is a one-man project started by Dis Pater in Brisbane, Australia. After two demos, Midnight Odyssey was signed to Italian label I,Voidhanger Records and released the monumental Funerals from the Astral Sphere. Several albums and splits later, including last year’s Biolume Part 3 – A Fullmoon Madness, Midnight Odyssey has risen to become one of the world’s pinnacle cosmic and atmospheric black metal bands. 2023 saw Midnight Odyssey perform their first ever live shows, and returned to Europe in 2024. Dis Pater has made guest appearances on several albums, including Cattle Decapitation’s last two records, the last Kawir record and Coldborn’s last album.
