Swedish modern power and melodic metal band Metalite has been redefining the genre since its formation in 2015. Founded by guitarist Edwin Premberg in Stockholm, the band blends soaring melodies, electronic elements, and powerful vocals to create a fresh and dynamic sound.
Their debut album, “Heroes In Time” (2017), introduced their signature style, followed by “Biomechanicals” (2019), which saw the arrival of new vocalist Erica Ohlsson and a more futuristic, high-energy sound. In 2021, “A Virtual World” expanded their musical landscape with cinematic elements and a hopeful vision of the future.
The band reached new heights with “Expedition One” (2024), a sci-fi concept album exploring humanity’s survival beyond Earth. Featuring 16 immersive tracks, the album showcased their evolution and ambition, solidified by Jacob Hansen’s production.
In 2024, Metalite welcomed drummer Erik Junttila, who made his debut in early 2025 in Linköping, further energizing the band’s powerful live performances. With their innovative approach and captivating storytelling, Metalite continues to push the boundaries of modern melodic metal, leaving an indelible mark on the genre.
