The AB1.6FR PREDATOR is all about ART!
Accomplished Visual Artist Costin Chioreanu is well-known in the Solar Guitars and metal community for creating Ola Englund’s album covers along with many others. Here he tells the story and inspiration for doing these paintings:
I was always a fan of good Sci Fi Horror and I always felt it is working hand in hand with great heavy metal music. The tension, the unknown, the darkness, the danger, the brutal force of alien predators, they shall all being one of the great sources of inspiration to write a very good riff. When I wanted to create a brutal riff for my band I was always going out in my mind for super intense scenes of great Sci Fi / Horror / Thrillers. Predator is probably in the top of the movie list so this way I come with the idea of bringing this character into metal music, under the form of a guitar handmade design. Knowing already Solar guitars and using their products for some years, I just knew my idea will fit the best with their brand. Because Solar has this unique beasty character, which simply works the best be covered in the flesh and (green) blood of most dangerous alien. The whole design is completely handmade, using exclusively acrylic paint and it depicts a brutal rendering of a wounded Predator’s body. Each copy is different, a unique piece of art. And this electric green blood is flying out from the core of this beast guitar, while you are shredding the horror! Enjoy!
Once the hand-painted bodies arrive back in Spain, assembly commences with Solar locking tuners, Floyd Rose tremolo, Solar Modern Alnico-V humbuckers, electronics wiring, switchcraft jack and copper shielding before strings strung up with final set-up by our experienced luthiers to be ready for top level professional stage or studio use. MCAS Custom fitted ABS molded TSA flight-ready case is included along with a Certificate of Authenticity hand signed by Ola and the luthier that assembled each guitar.
