The CHUG DAMPER is a simple device with a single purpose. Controlling and eliminating ringing noises.
In a high gain situation with heavy picking, sympathetic vibrations cause the strings beyond the nut to ring uncontrollably.
This “string ringing effect” can become audible through the guitar electronics and subsequently be heard through an amplifier,
interface and recordings.
